Excellent LCD TV – from a plasma owner, HDTV 52 Sony KDL-52V5100
4 weeks ago I was due to relocation and an associated change the seat distance from 2.5 to 4 meters in front of the decision of an initial purchase.
The previous 37-inch Panasonic plasma now seemed too small and there should be a new device produces approximately 46-52 inches wide.
Partly out of curiosity and also because of the decrease of a few hundred dollars to the price actually preferred correspondingly large Panasonic, I decided to try these Sony LCD.
Admittedly, the appeal was to be able to compare large LCD and plasma directly at home – well aware that a possible replacement due to not satisfied at Amazon is so easily possible.
It is at one of the cheapest Sony-inch models in this size which already has some time on the market that has a corresponding price behind it and is made in the foreseeable future, probably also from the market.
Because of many reports and reviews on LCD-s has been studied, the instrument, and pixel defects. To hear nothing, and despite careful examination are also no errors in the display visible light – which because of the series dispersion in production during the next device, of course, again unlike may be true – but I’ve had at least lucky. Also the lighting seems to me to be perfectly and evenly.
After a few settings, we have found the optimal image quality, although this may vary according to broadcast material of course be different – in some cases the activation of the film, or theater mode is better.
Even the really useless, because it can to flashy, diamond-like mode in animated films Ice Age, Finding Nemo, etc. precisely because of the bright colors very well (like a matter of taste).
The most exciting for me was, of course, in direct comparison with my Panasonic plasma of the black level.
So either Sony is at this point very well or I’m on
the black eye blind. One advantage of plasma’s is visible – for me, but only minimally and not nearly as bad as I had imagined.
Also, the lack of 120 Hz of the Sony I do not miss. Since I now have digital satellite receiving the picture is excellent streaking or otherwise known image errors are not for me to discover – do not know what a 120 Hz should improve circuit in this case, this was quite different in the old house with analog cable reception.
Here we have now seen a difference when I turned off my Panasonic to 120 Hz. It would therefore probably be due to the quality of the input signal whether the 120 Hz are important or whether one can do without it.
Ultimately, the Sony LCD has passed the benchmark system, which I am also relieved me so I can save the annoying inverting.
Not the black level but rather at the plasma somewhat more natural, more beautiful colors are at the end against the Sony, but ultimately is simply talking too will require some practice – a return of reason, it is not for me because otherwise everything is perfect.
Since the Panasonic will give me so I can keep every now and then the fun and look again “plasma”.
The Sony LCD I can certainly recommend highly, and I’m fan of both systems.
